This month we will trace this development noting how the tribal sons of Jacob (Israel) emerged. They were eventually enslaved in Egypt and gloriously delivered at the hand of Moses. This is one of the themes in the songs of the Psalmists as they constantly testified to the covenantal faithfulness of YHWH. We too must see the providential hand of God in the emergence of our Nation-People. If God could do it for Israel, He will do it for every other people in the earth today.

May you find your own place in the purpose of God to deliver your people from the oppression of the systems and devices of men who are caught up in the evil devices of “principalities and power, rulers of the darkness of this world and wickedness in high places”.

Regardless of the Theme for the month, this devotional exercise is designed to guide you through a personal experience of self assessment, self effacement and self affirmation. Concentrate on selected verses as you read the scheduled passage for each day. Then meditate on its significance to your faith, and the importance of applying it personally and practically to your daily life. Keep a personal journal of daily reflections which you may share with others at the end of the week.
