December anticipates the celebration of the birth of Jesus the Messiah. This month the Birth will be memorialized against the glorious revelation of the end times, the final victory of the saints over the son of perdition and the ushering in of the New Heavens and the New Earth.
The picture of the reigning Lamb on His Throne, the defeat of the “Babylonian kingdoms of this world” and the final triumph of the “Bride of Christ” are all a fitting backdrop for us once again to rejoice over the birth of the Messiah some 2,000 years ago. It is to this end that He came and it is for this reason we spare no effort to rejoice with family and friends, as nations and peoples in this Christmas season.
Let us in our Devotional times receive the message of His birth as a prophetic fulfillment destined to change the world forever. Then after the short narrative of His birth, we will hear again the word of the Lord to us in anticipation of the New Year which we expect to be the Year of Kingdom Manifestation.
Isaiah closes out this year for us with the confident declaration of God’s promised restoration of His Hebraic children and as well the radical intervention of His “Ekklesaic” people into the civic and national life of nations in a remarkable fulfilment of Kingdom breakthroughs across the globe.
