This week, tragedy struck our neighbors in Los Angeles as devastating fires swept through their communities. Families were forced to flee their homes, leaving behind not just possessions, but years of memories and moments that made those houses their sanctuaries. Some have lost everything, and as we’ve seen the smoke and ash settle, one thing is abundantly clear: we cannot sit idly by.

At moments like these, the Church has an opportunity to step into the pain, to show up with compassion, and to be a tangible expression of God’s love. That’s why we’re launching IE for LA—a collaborative relief effort uniting ministries, organizations, and individuals across our region to bring hope, healing, and restoration to those suffering in the wake of these fires.

Our mission is simple: to meet needs, provide relief, and stand alongside our neighbors until they are whole again. But we can’t do this alone. We need your help.

How You Can Partner with IE for LA

1️⃣ Donate Funds
One of the most immediate ways to make an impact is through financial giving. Every dollar given will go directly to providing essentials like food, shelter, clothing, and hygiene items for families in need.

When you give, please include “IE4LA” in the memo line of your donation so we can ensure your gift is used specifically for this relief effort.

2️⃣ Donate Essential Items
We are collecting the following items to distribute to families:

• Non-perishable food
• Clothing (new or gently used)
• Hygiene products (toothbrushes, soap, feminine products, etc.)
• Blankets, bedding, and pillows

Drop-off stations are available at The Gathering On Sundays at 1030am and designated partner locations.

3️⃣ Volunteer Your Time
Rebuilding a life doesn’t happen overnight. Beyond the initial relief, families will need help clearing debris, cleaning up properties, and restoring what was lost. By volunteering, you can be a source of encouragement and practical support in their journey back to stability.
